St. Thomas More Center showcases Lake Panorama to visitors

Three days a week, campers at the St. Thomas More Center, arrive at Sunset Beach by canoe and kayak, and spend an afternoon swimming and playing volleyball.

Those who live full-time at Lake Panorama know the “busy” season is fast approaching, when part-time owners return and more visitors arrive. The same is true at the St. Thomas More Center, located on the west side of Lake Panorama.

On May 31, the first group of young people will arrive for a week at Catholic Youth Camp (CYC). That first group will be followed by another, and then another, in a process that repeats for 11 weeks. By mid-August, nearly 1,800 campers will have attended CYC at the St. Thomas More Center.

Couple wins trip for photo of their Lake Panorama view

This is the photo that won Colby and Katelyn Brelsford a trip to Laguna Beach, Calif. The view of Lake Panorama was taken from within their new home through Pella Windows.

It started on a whim last August. Colby Brelsford saw something online asking people to take a photo through a Pella Window, and enter the “Share Your Pella Window View” contest.
He and his wife Katelyn had been living since January in the Lake Panorama home they built. Since the home features Pella Windows, Colby told Katelyn about the promotion and said they should enter.
