Local Group Helps Families in Need

For more than 13 years, a dedicated group of volunteers from Panora and Lake Panorama have been helping area families. The Children’s Clothes Closet, known as 3C’s, is a free clothing program for children of families in need in Guthrie and neighboring counties. 
The group’s mission is to provide good used and new clothing to babies, children and high school youth. The 3C’s is located in Panora at Highway 44 and East 2nd Street, just north of the Panora United Methodist Church. 

Panorama West Golf Memberships Now Available

Membership mailings for the 2016 Panorama West golf season have been sent to anyone who was a 2015 member. The mailing includes a renewal form for the 2016 season, plus trail fees and cart storage.

To renew, fill out the form, make checks payable to the LPN, and mail to 5071 Clover Ridge Road, Panora, IA 50216. Or take the form and payment to the Panorama West pro shop when it reopens in the spring.

Playground Donations Surpass $40,000 Mark

By mid-December, Friends of Lake Panorama had raised $10,000 towards its $50,000 goal for a new playground at Sunset Beach.

Donations to the Friends of Lake Panorama in support of a new playground at Sunset Beach now stand at more than $40,000. The first $30,000 was raised in late 2014 and through August of this year. In mid-November, a special mailing to LPA members announced the nonprofit Friends group is working to raise an additional $50,000. The Lake Panorama Association board has pledged to match that amount if the money is raised by August 1, 2016.

New LPN Board Organizes, Gets to Work

The new Lake Panorama National Board of Managers has met four times, elected officers, formed three ad-hoc committees and is starting to make recommendations.

The Lake Panorama Association Board of Directors this fall created the new LPN board and appointed its seven members. The LPA has owned the LPN golf course since 1977. It purchased the LPN conference center in 2005, and established a legal corporate entity known as “LPN, LLC” to manage the wholly owned subsidiary.

2016 LPN Golf Memberships Now Available

By now, those who were 2015 Lake Panorama National golf club members should have received renewal forms for the 2016 season. The mailing includes three types of golf membership applications. All are available at the same prices as last year.  

Regular memberships are available to both LPA members and non-members. There is a significant "early bird" discount available to those who pay in full by January 31. The membership application shows both the early bird rates and the regular rates for those who pay after January 31.
